What is Japanese Wargame Database?

This webpage is a listing of Japanese Wargames by publisher. It's main purpose for existence is that most information on JPN wargames on the net is very scattered. Some sites have a great database of games, but if you're trying to figure out what that missing HG038 game in your Tsukuda collection is, what game was included in Command Japan #43, or what games have translations, its tough to search them.

Also, it is hoped that this will provide a more organized way for people to share information on Japanese Wargames. The biggest inspiration for this webpage was when, after I was working on a translation of "Iraq War 2003" for many days (I'm not too fast on my translating ^^;), saw a message asking someone else "How is your Iraq 2003 translation coming along?".. There's few enough people translating these games that it'd be nice to make sure we're not all working on the same ones (and if we are, perhaps share our progress).

If you like this webpage, here are ways you can help improve its content:

1) Provide any translations you may have come across. Even if you don't know Japanese, typing in translations that have previously only been available as a 'hard copy'(printout or handwritten) would be greatly appreciated by many people. If you do know Japanese and are working on a translation to a game you'd be willing to share with others, let me know!

2) Provide greater information on games listed than what is on this site (or what is on links provided such as BGG listings); or, if information is incorrect, let me know

3) Provide information about games not on this site. For example, I do not have much of a listing for Epoch or Hobby Japan yet. I only only 3 non-electronic Epoch games (#s 27,28,and 29), and have little information on the rest at this time. My Hobby Japan collection is very scattered (SF3D 1,2, and various board and card-type games of theirs), and I don't have any good webpage links.

4) Scans can sometimes help, but I won't be putting up scans identical to those on BGG; scans can eat up bandwidth quick. Some scans may be put up for games not in BGG.

5) Give feedback in general

At the moment, the direct link to this webpage might be tough to remember, but put it in your favorites and that's not a problem ^_^. Also, for the foreseeable future I'll include a link to this page on what's left of my old videogame selling webpage, My Wolfgames site
If nothing else, Wolfgames is easier to remember than the full URL.

Enjoy!
